Meigs syndrome

Meigs' syndrome is defined as the triad of benign ovarian tumor (fibroma), ascites and pleural effusion. The ascites and pleural effusion would resolve on resection of the tumor. In 1954, it was Joe Vincent Meigs, an American obstetrician and gynaecologist who proposed Meigs syndrome.
