Arch of Aorta gives rise to

  • Brachiocephalic trunk
  • Common carotid artery (left)
  • Subclavian artery (left)

Occasionally thyroidea ima and vertebral aretry may arise from it.

imageArch of Aorta begins at the upper border of second sternochondral joint on the right and ends at the fourth thoracic vertebra by becoming the thoracic aorta. Thus is begins and ends at the the same horizontal plane although it begins anteriorly and ends posteriorly.
